Is your planter ready to plant?
If you haven’t done so already, it’s time to conduct a detailed inspection of your planter. You want to make certain it’s operating at its best in order to ensure that your corn crop gets into the ground accurately. You only get one shot a year (we hope!) to plant your corn—and you can’t afford to have your planter create problems that will show up on your tickets at the elevator this fall.
If your planter is in poor health—and if bringing it back to life might not be the best use of your money—look to 21st Century Equipment for a replacement. If you didn’t get the new planter you wanted on order last summer, we have an impressive assortment of good, used one-owner planters at a good price.
If saving input cost is something you are interested in, maybe this is the year to consider variable rate technology. You might also consider the new John Deere ExactEmerge™ planter technology that provides precision variable rate seeding at speeds up to 10 miles per hour—allowing you to almost double your speed during planting. There’s also the ME-5 planter, an updated version of the Max Emerge planter.
If you typically rent a tractor during planting season, we now have some great leasing rates on equipment—including lease programs for older tractors and other equipment, which are typically not available through most leasing programs. When we acquired the Scottsbluff and Torrington locations, we also acquired in-house financing capability that makes for some very attractive lease rates that will make you think twice about renting.
We have plenty of great row crop tractor trade-ins in inventory right now. And don’t forget that we have 17 locations, each with its own supply of pre-owned equipment. Check with your sales professional and we’ll chase down what you’re looking for.
The ground will be warming up soon and you’ll be hitting the field with the 2015 crop before you know it. Be ready with a planter or leased tractor you can count on from 21st Century Equipment.
