To improve customer experience and reduce support efforts, John Deere will start pushing display software updates wirelessly using Service Advisor Remote (SAR) to select customers in December at the same time the 19-3 software release is published.  To align with that software release, John Deere will target 4600 V1 Servers which are running software older than 17-2 software from 2017 which will install the latest software update available for a V1 server - 10.9.79-185.

The customer will be in control of the software update by having the ability to Accept or Cancel the update (Pic 1).  Accepting the software update will lead the customer to a prompt to Download or Reject the software (Pic 2), if “Cancel” is selected the customer can access the same update prompt through the ISOBUS VT App.  Once selected, the software will begin to download in the background allowing the customer continued use of their machine.  Once the download is complete the customer can initiate the software installation at their convenience.  The operator will have to verify that the Key Switch is ON, and Engine is OFF in order to complete software installation.
